The Sustainable Product certification confirms that a product (excluding food and medical products) has been designed, manufactured and placed on the market in a responsible environmental, organizational and social manner.
Today’s markets require more than functionality and price competitiveness. Transparency, lifecycle responsibility and measurable environmental performance have become essential. LIBRE certification is not a marketing claim — it is a structured verification process based on audit, documented data and measurable indicators.
The LIBRE EIS system evaluates the product from a full lifecycle perspective, including:
The objective is to assess the real environmental footprint and long-term efficiency of the product.
The product receives performance ratings in six key areas based on an audit conducted by certified LIBRE professionals:
#Energy
Share of renewable and alternative energy sources within total production energy consumption.
#Water Management
Responsible water use, including recovery, retention and treatment systems.
#Human Factor
Workforce management, safety standards, CSR engagement and organizational responsibility.
#Recycled Content
Share of recycled or secondary raw materials used in production.
#Recyclability
Ability of the product to be processed and recovered at the end of its lifecycle.
#Innovation
Assessment of technological innovation, material efficiency and environmental performance improvements.
Final results are expressed in performance classes (A+–E) based on measurable criteria.
Audits are conducted by certified LIBRE professionals (International Energy Efficiency Auditor) and, in the case of newly designed facilities, also by International Energy Efficiency Designer.
Innovation assessment may be additionally verified directly by LIBRE Foundation.
