Outstanding Sustainable Activity

LIBRE Honorary Distinction (L-ACT)

The Outstanding Sustainable Activity (L-ACT) distinction is an honorary recognition granted by the LIBRE Foundation to individuals, organizations, institutions and initiatives that demonstrate exceptional and lasting contribution to sustainable development understood as the common good.

L-ACT is not a commercial certification and is not awarded through a standard audit procedure.
It is a formal recognition of real, measurable and long-term impact.

What Does L-ACT Recognize?

The distinction is granted to activities that:

  • promote peacebuilding and dialogue between communities,
  • foster responsible leadership and ethical governance,
  • advance education and future-oriented competencies,
  • support social and civic initiatives,
  • contribute to environmental protection and resource stewardship,
  • use sport as a tool for integration and health promotion,
  • develop cultural initiatives strengthening identity and cooperation,
  • implement humanitarian and solidarity projects,
  • strengthen local communities and regional resilience,
  • build bridges between business, science and society,
  • promote innovations serving the common good,
  • contribute to social stability and international cooperation.

L-ACT recognizes consistency, integrity and sustained impact, not one-time actions.

Nature of the Distinction

Outstanding Sustainable Activity represents:

  • public acknowledgment of leadership in responsibility,
  • confirmation of alignment with the principles of sustainable development,
  • a mark of credibility and trust,
  • inclusion in a network of recognized sustainability leaders.

The distinction is granted by decision of the LIBRE Foundation Board following evaluation of long-term activities and their documented impact.

Why Is It an Honor?

L-ACT cannot be purchased.
It cannot be obtained through technical compliance alone.

It is awarded to those who:

  • go beyond standards,
  • combine competence with ethical responsibility,
  • act consistently for the benefit of society and future generations,
  • create long-term social value.

Receiving L-ACT signifies that the recipient’s work is considered exemplary and inspirational at an international level.

Verification and Integrity

Each distinction:

  • carries a unique identification number,
  • is publicly verifiable on LIBREFoundation.org,
  • may be revoked in case of conduct inconsistent with the values of sustainable development.

L-ACT is not only recognition.
It is a commitment to uphold the highest standards of responsibility.

A Community of Leaders

L-ACT laureates form a community of individuals and institutions that:

  • think long-term,
  • act beyond divisions,
  • treat development as service,
  • build a future rooted in responsibility.

Outstanding Sustainable Activity honors those who do not merely speak about sustainability, but embody it.
